EARLY LIFE
Maria is Russian professional tennis player. She has won many titles.Maria is ranked number no 5 in the recent world women tennis ranking and is top Russian player.
She is 26 years old and her height is 6.2 (1.88m).Her weight is 130lbs (59kg).SHARAPOVA has won 4 grand slam titles.Her parents YELENA SHARAPOA and YURI SHARAPOVA helps a lot during her whole career.
TURNING POINT
She turned towards professional career at the age of 14 and climbed her firs victory in 2003 AIG JAPAN OPEN and also reach the 4th round in WIMBLEDON OPEN in her first attempt.Maria became successful when she won the women single title in 2004 and become the first RUSSIAN woman WIMBLEDON champion.In the year 2004 she added WTA championship and in 2006 she got US open title and become world number 4.
ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In 2007 injuries pluge her game and contributed a series of loses.But she remain among the top 5 women players.she was struggling continuously in 2009 and 2010 due to her shoulder injury and had a surjury to repair the injury.she started to make a comeback in 2011and finished a year with rank 4.
In June 2012 maria defeated SARA EARANI in FRENCH OPEN and became a 10th woman who has won all the four major tournaments
In 2012 her Olympic debut .She won silver medal in women single title losing the Gold to SERENA WILLIAMS.She became second in the French Open again defeated by SERENA.In june Maria out from the second round in WIMBLEDON and has no more success in this year.
PERSONAL LIFE
No doubt maria is beautiful woman tennis player and has attraction in all the fields either that is field of acting''modeling or ambassadorship began a relationship with basket ball player SASHA VUJACIC in 2009.They were engaged in October 2010.During post match conference in 2010 she announced that the engagement was off and that her relationship with SASHA had ended.
